I created Sugary Giggles because I wanted to tell people's story through my art. I think we all have something special inside us. "Make your own magic". A little magia de bruja. Share something amazing with the world. I am extremely passionate about my work. I create images that aren't too conventional. They stand out from the norm with my unique take on lifestyle photography. I specialize in the 'day in the life' look. I shoot mostly in natural light and on location. I love to capture the raw, real, and in the moment. The things that make a person an individual. Capturing their essence and exposing their soul. If I am being honest, I find studio photography to be very boring. I want you to have something beautiful and natural. Something that flows and you can vibe with. Not basic awkwardly posed pictures with harsh studio lighting and cheesy props.
I am an artist for the wonderfully complicated, beautifully messy, incredibly curious, and ferociously loving. My clients are those looking for something extraordinary. They want pictures that stand out and create emotion when you look at them. Art from my soul beautifully displaying yours. NYC born, I currently live in the Chicago Land area suburbs with my amazing husband and our five beautiful children. We are an Italian and Mexican American famiglia. As a family we LOVE food, travel, the outdoors and meeting new people. We're on a health journey and have recently gotten into growing our own foods through indoor aquaponics and outdoor potted gardening in the warmer seasons. Hiking, camping, and board games are some of our favorite family activites.
When I am not shooting, I do a lot of work in the lung cancer community and consider myself a lung cancer activist. After the passing of my father, I became an advocate for terminally ill and I do a lot of volunteer work in hospices. I help them express their wants and needs for their end of life care. Explore alternative medicines, gain access to legal medical marijuana and CBD oils.
Self care is very important to me. It's deeper than going to get your nails done, or taking a hot bath. It's about a healthy mind and body as well. I am into yoga and meditation. I believe it has helped me throughout my journey with grief and depression over the past few years. With the help of talk therapy, I have worked through my depression naturally and without traditional medications. Through better lifestyle choices, continued diet and exercise, I have lost over 50 lbs and have kept it off. Some of my other hobbies include reading, exploring abandoned buildings, tropical fish keeping, writing, indie movies, documentaries, and Warcraft. I also collect crystals, go beach combing and study astrology casually. I'm a huge foodie. I love sushi, boba, and a good cup of coffee.
